4. What drew you to this muse?
Peter Parker had been my favourite character for a loooong time for a different number of reasons. I could go on the whole day how much I love him, but I’ll try to keep it concise.
- Peter Parker is just such a likeable chararacter, and he resonates a lot with me. I can relate to a lot of the struggles he had; I grew up socially awkward and having to worry about my family’s money issues too, along with a slew of different growing pains, and it really drew me to his story because it felt like reading about myself but with super-powers. (wow i feel like a self-insert rp now lmao)
- Visually speaking, Spider-Man is just so entertaining to watch in any medium. I love the look of his costume and TASM’s probably had the best rendition of it yet. His web-slinging is awesome, I love watching him crawl walls, and his fighting style is just so dynamic and interesting to watch.
- I love his Rogue’s gallery. Green Goblin is maniacally horrible, Doc Ock is brilliant, Venom terrified me growing up, Carnage was insane (AND DON’T GET ME STARTED ON PASTE POT PETE OK)
- I love the central message of great power coming with great responsibility. It’s something that Peter learned early on, and it has a lot of wisdom to it. Adulthood is empowerment. As time goes on, people start pursuing a career, raising a family, and start making choices with their freedom. Spider-Man reminds people that with that new agency comes responsibility. He was a teenager when he first started out, and he had to make a lot of tough decisions. He’s struggled from the start with a lot of interesting moral dilemmas, and in the end he’s almost always sabotaged himself to save the day, and that sort of courage is nothing short of inspiring. That lesson is probably one of the greatest things Stan Lee and Steve Ditko have contributed to the world, in my opinion.
14. Are you comfortable playing your muse?
Yah. My muse is really easy to tap into, but due to my erratic schedule it’s hard to keep up with posting a lot of the times.
I could make other RP blogs for sure, but I honestly don’t think I could ever play anyone as comfortably as I feel with Peter.
